Request to Join a Committee
SMCColumbus has five committees that help run the organization. They include: finance, programming, communications, membership, and innovation & technology. Each committee has an elected chairperson and meets or talks regularly or as needed, depending on the current programming and events.
Here's some things each committee may do:
Finance-budgets, fundraising, bookkeeping.
Programming-work with speakers, coordinate monthly events.
Communications- Email newsletters, communications plan, social media updates, blog posting.
Membership- welcome new members, work with local/regional colleges to build SMC presence, find and share volunteer opportunities.
New Technology/Innovation- maintain website, social media updates, share new technology updates, manage member area of website.
